That exemption needs a signed Certification Statement of Work form from the Construction Code Official.
Work that adds square footage or changes the structure still needs a zoning permit. Cherry Hill also lists decks among the projects that need one. Approved zoning permits then go to the Construction Office for building permit review. The office answers questions for a specific address, and we point you there.
