Questions About Roof and Siding Work Around Clayton
These are common questions about roofing, siding and exterior work
around Clayton and the rest of South Jersey. If yours is not here, call
or text and we will answer it.
Our service area centers on Clayton and takes in Gloucester County and Camden County. We also work on the Vineland side of Cumberland County and in parts of Salem County and Burlington County. We take jobs across the river in Pennsylvania too. See the towns in our service area for the full list.
How does your pricing work?
Every price starts with a free estimate at your home or building. Our team looks at the work, then we email you a detailed estimate with the price. On a roof, size, slope, the number of old layers and deck repairs drive most of the cost. On siding, windows and decks, the size of the job and the material you pick matter most.
What licenses and certifications does DRK Roofing hold?
Licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, we hold NJ License # 13VH11117600 and PA License # PA16353. We are GAF Certified for roofing. We are also James Hardie and CertainTeed Siding Certified.
What kinds of roofs do you install?
We replace and repair asphalt shingle roofs, and we install metal roofing and cedar shake roofing. For flat roofs, we work in TPO, EPDM and torch down, on homes and on commercial buildings. At the free estimate, our team can go over which type fits your building.
Do you handle commercial roofing?
Yes. Our commercial work includes apartment complexes and new construction for builders and property managers. On those buildings we install TPO, EPDM and torch down flat roofs, plus asphalt shingle roofs. Call or text (856) 449-4674 to have our team look at your building.
Should I repair my roof or replace it?
It depends on the age of the roof and how far the damage goes. Light storm damage, a flashing leak or a few missing shingles can often be fixed with a roof repair. Worn shingles across the whole roof or a soft roof deck point toward a replacement. Our estimate lists the work we recommend for your roof.
Do I need a permit for exterior work in New Jersey?
On detached one- and two-family homes, the state's Uniform Construction Code calls replacing the roof covering ordinary maintenance. Most siding replacement is on that list too, and ordinary maintenance needs no permit. Some town offices, including Clayton's, list roofing and siding among the work that needs a permit. Check with your town's construction office before the job starts, and plan on a permit for a new deck.
What other exterior work do you do?
Along with roofing, we handle siding installation and replacement in vinyl and fiber cement. We also replace windows and exterior doors, and we install gutters and downspouts. We build decks with composite decking or pressure-treated lumber. All of our work is on the outside of a home or building.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, financing is available on request. Ask about it when you call or text, or at your free estimate. You can also pay by cash, check or credit card.
